About Hickory Bands
|
The Hickory Band Program involves more than 700 students in grades six through twelve. Our directors are Dr. John Chenault and Mr. K.J. Stafford at Hickory Middle School and Mr. David Enloe and Mr. Matthew Phillips at Hickory High School. Our high school band includes three curriculum bands: Ninth Grade Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band. All band members in grades nine through twelve are offered the opportunity to participate in the Hickory Marching Hawks. High School students are also offered the opportunity to participate in Jazz Ensemble. Students may also participate in color guard activities, which are an integral part of the Hickory Marching Hawks. The staff of our band program work diligently together to afford our students the many opportunities available and to insure quality in student learning and performance. Please take time to read through the handbook and familiarize yourself with the set-up of our band program. We feel this will help you be a successful member of our program. Course Offerings
